DRAFT — ADMIN REVIEW REQUIRED
This document is an internal working draft prepared by Nest Pointe staff. It has not been reviewed by an attorney. It is published for review purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
Rental payment
The rental charge pays for use of the equipment and any quoted services. It is due [OWNER TO SET: payment timing, e.g. in full at booking or a set number of days before the event]. Online payment is not available until Nest Pointe enables it.
Refundable security deposit
A security deposit is separate from the rental charge. It is held only to cover documented loss, damage, excess cleaning or overdue charges under these policies. Amount: [OWNER TO SET: deposit amount or method]. Collection method: [OWNER TO SET: hold vs charge, and how it is collected].
Deposit return
After the return inspection, the deposit is returned less any itemized, documented deductions within [OWNER TO SET: number of days] by [OWNER TO SET: return method]. The customer receives the itemized list with photos for any deduction.
Taxes
Illinois taxes many rentals of tangible personal property. Taxes are added only after Nest Pointe validates the applicable treatment with a tax professional: [OWNER TO SET: tax validation result].
Rental charges vs refundable balance
Your receipt shows the rental charge and the security deposit as separate lines. Only the deposit, less documented deductions, is returned after inspection; the rental charge follows the cancellation policy.
